House is injured in a motorcycle accident in Middletown, New York, and finds himself in bed next to a patient (Mos Def) suffering from locked-in syndrome after a bicycling accident. His attending doctor diagnoses brain death, and suggests transplanting his heart into another patient. House notices the patient following the doctors with his eyes, and is immediately interested in taking up his case. Thirteen suggests a well-placed tumor, so the team does an MRI. House sees a lesion on the scan. However, the patient's attending thinks the patient has an infection and has him on antibiotics. House tells the patient if he has cancer, the antibiotics could kill him. However, they could almost kill him, in which case it would confirm that the patient doesn't have an infection. Just then, the patient seizes. Communicating through blinking, the patient requests transfer to Princeton Plainsboro.
Thirteen notices that he has a tear in the epithelial cells in his eye, and a fluorescein stain reveals ulcerative keratitis. Cameron suggests the team does a lumbar puncture, noting that polys (polymorphonuclear leukocytes) would mean it's varicella, and lymphs, Behçet's. During the lumbar puncture however, the patient crashes. They bring him back, but his foot starts to itch, which he manages to communicate to the team after several questions. This indicates liver failure. Thirteen suggests that the dying liver released toxins which led to locked-in syndrome. Foreman suggests that the liver, kidney and eye point towards sclerosing cholangitis. House orders a biopsy to confirm.
Meanwhile, Wilson gets curious as to why House was in Middletown. At the end of the episode, Wilson finds out that House was there to see a psychiatrist, and confronts him on the issue. House reluctantly acknowledges Wilson's accusation, but says he is not going to continue any further sessions. The episode ends with Wilson predicting House will end up alone, and showing that House's vision blurs in a similar fashion to the \"locked-in\" patient as he looks towards Wilson.
AV Club's Zach Handlen gives this episode a B+. Large portions of the episode are shown from the locked in patient's perspective, and Handlen states, \"Basically, what we have here is a typical ep, delivered in an atypical fashion.\"[3]
Locked In is a fifth season episode of House which first aired on March 30, 2009. In a special episode of House, shot and told predominantly from the perspective of a patient, Mos Def guest-stars as Lee, a man who awakens after a bicycle accident in a small town in New York state, unable to move or communicate in any way apart from blinking his eyes. House, himself injured in a motorcycle mishap, occupies the hospital bed next to Lee and quickly annoys the doctors treating them both by insisting that Lee has \"locked-in\" syndrome. After House gets Lee transferred to Princeton Plainsboro, the team is on the case to try to \"unlock\" him. Meanwhile, Wilson suspects House is hiding something when he refuses to divulge why he was in New York and Taub worries that his attempt to quit the team will lead to House cutting him loose.
This was the first episode that broke away from the standard camera convention of having the viewer have an omniscient perspective. Like the patient, the viewer is \"locked in\" to his point of view for most of the episode. Although the technique of telling a story through a fixed point of view was not new to the series, it later became a hallmark, appearing again in the episodes Wilson, 5 to 9 and Chase.
A patient in a hospital in Middletown, New York is regaining consciousness, but cannot move his legs. The doctors are talking about transplanting his organs when he hears House (who is in the hospital because of a motorcycle accident and is a patient in the emergency room himself), who thinks he is still alive despite the lack of response on the EEG. He has noted that the patient's eyes are following the attending doctor. House thinks he has locked-in syndrome and asks the patient to blink, which he can.
They prepare for the biopsy and Thirteen says she likes the bracelet Foreman got her, she just doesn't want to wear it at work where it can get patient fluids on it. Suddenly, Kutner notices a rash on her wrist. Thirteen admits that she got some of the patient's urine on her wrist. Kutner thinks the patient may have an infection that he passed on to Thirteen, leptospirosis, that is found in rats like the ones in the friend's house. That would cause the liver failure and result in the release of toxins that would cause the locked-in syndrome. They find a paper cut near one of his fingernails, where the infection could have entered. They test the rats at the friend's home and they turn out positive for leptospirosis. They start treatment and ask the patient to try to move. Kutner tells him to try harder. The patient finally moves his right index finger.
Lee, a man who awakens in New York after a bicycle accident unable to move or communicate in any way. House, himself injured in a motorcycle mishap, occupies the hospital bed next to Lee and quickly annoys the doctors treating them both by insisting that Lee has locked-in syndrome. After House gets Lee transferred to Princeton Plainsboro, the team is on the case to try to unlock him. Meanwhile, Wilson suspects House is hiding something when he refuses to divulge why he was in New York.
\"His Story III\" is the nineteenth episode of Scrubs' fifth season. Janitor narrates the episode while J.D. is locked in a watertower. The Janitor also narrates this episode while he keeps a patient company. Meanwhile, Dr. Cox accuses Turk of not being black and Elliot cracks down on her interns.
Janitor meets Mr McNair, a patient suffering from locked-in syndrome. When his computer, his sole method of communication, breaks, Janitor decides to spend time with him to keep him company. Janitor then helps Carla hold a patient's legs down after an intern makes a mistake and the patient has a seizure. Janitor boasts about the story throughout the hospital, until he overhears one doctor claiming Janitor is telling everyone the story because he never usually makes a difference around the hospital.
Martha is talking with Secret Service Agent Steve Thompson, who is telling her that Pierce has been reassigned. Martha says that something has happened to him, and the agent can't seem to find Aaron due to a glitch in the system. Agent Justin Adams walks up and says the President wants to speak with Mrs. Logan. She seems satisfied, and is escorted to a room where she believes the President is, but is locked inside with no phone or contact with the outside.
The Lighthouse fell under siege this week, and Coulson (Clark Gregg) and the crew were locked inside with some seriously terrifying aliens. These unstoppable creatures tore their way through the bunker, killing a bunch of faceless S.H.I.E.L.D. agents -- sorry dudes -- and backing our heroes into a corner. When all hope looked lost, one person decided better the devil you know than the bloodthirsty monsters you don't.
Caitlin wakes up at a remote Tannhauser site. She has on power cuffs and they are locked in a room. The mother-daughter duo begins arguing about the best way to get out of the room. Caitlin confronts her mother saying she never wanted to be a part of her life. She wonders why things are this way. Carla blames Caitlin for their distant relationship. She says Caitlin left her when she went to school then married a man Carla never met.

Now Jack imprisons Olivia in a room as a punishment for biting his finger and made the marking to the direction to the black thunder treasure hunt while Joey steals the treasure box key. Oggy tried to propose Olivia but she closed the window and it started to rain and thunder. High sea waves are making the ship to dodge. Oggy was electrocuted by thunder while Olivia and the cockroaches were dodging each other. Oggy saves Olivia from the room where she's locked up by Jack so both thank each other. Now Oggy and Olivia got each other and both hid in a coffin and they call Jack but he refused since he's in a tension as he came to know that Joey stole his key. The rest of the cat team packed their bags and jumped on the emergency boat as the thunder is severe and makes them ride it. Its very bad as Jack in his tension gets drowned making Olivia and Oggy miserable. A next morning, Oggy was severely miserable since he couldn't forget how he and Jack loved each other and cries. cockroaches were drinking coconut juice while Oggy tries to swat them but Olivia shows the treasure mountain to Oggy. Now, the cockroaches see the coconut tree garden on the map as well as near by them. The cockroaches see the way towards the treasure so they follow and so Oggy and Olivia did it. The cockroaches were afraid since a spider came to make meal but Dee Dee ate it up. Now, it was easy for Olivia and Oggy to go using the spider web way. Now, the cockroaches reach a small water body but some carnivorous fish were making a meal but Dee Dee ate them up this making it easier for Oggy and Olivia to use the water way but some insects bit him making him thin. Now, the cockroaches walk on the mountain and so did Olivia but Oggy faces challenges such as falling down from the mountain, getting trapped in quicksand, getting eaten up by man eating plan and getting hit by wild boars. This time, the cockroaches get the destination but Oggy gets new challenges like getting stuck underneath, getting shot by arrows, etc. Now both reach the place but there are new challenges for Oggy leading the cockroaches to get the treasure it Jack stamped them. Oggy sees Jack and asked how did he come out. Jack replies that he stood on the catapult and catapulted himself and then he played the bird whistle while two storks arrive so he used them as a taxi and he dropped himself on the location spot. Now, Joey thought of catapulting a stone as Jack was making a raft and Oggy and Olivia embrace. The two warn since Bob's army attacked and tied up Jack. Oggy was trying to beat up Bob but he became a crab. A crab came to kiss him but after Oggy was stamped, the crab went away. The cockroaches try to take the treasure on which Olivia was sitting but Bob took it and tied up Oggy. Olivia scratched Bob's face and took the treasure away. Olivia accepts to give the treasure to Bob but in a deal, if Bob accepts to release Oggy and Jack. but Bob and his wolf army laugh and disagrees thinking it as a threat so Olivia threw maybe 50-100 pure gold coins in the sea telling Bob that the money god is not happy to stay with him and also tells that the whole box will drown if they still think it as a threat so Bob accepted to release the two and got the treasure. In the treasure, he sees Joey dreaming for chocolate ice cream but Bob threw him in the sea where Joey was a meal for the sharks. Joey tells Marky and Dee Dee not to tell that his skeleton is visible. Bob and his army leave for the trip. The episode ends with the cats leaving the island on the raft Jack got a new treasure map and venture to somewhere else while Olivia sleeps with Oggy relived that she is no longer kidnapped and safe and they all approached the sunset. 59ce067264
